Finished cleaning out the apaato today except for a few odds and ends. V1 and I are going back tomorrow to clean and finish, but yeah, I'm mostly moved out and sleeping at my parents tonight. With Sen-kitty.
Sen-kitty has been stressed out and hiding on top of the fridge since I started moving furniture. He was not comforted by being shoved in his kennel and hauled out today. He was less impressed by the car ride during which I'm sure if I rolled down the windows, traffic would have parted for the siren noises he was making. My god. Upset kitty.
But I get him in and set up his room and he calms down okay. He finds all his stuff, so he's okay. He even explores the basement a bit, and that's okay.
Then Worf-kitty notices him... and flies into a fit of rage at this invasion. Sen-kitty hides in his room. A bit later, Rufus-puppy noses his way in, and Sen is very tolerant of him. Rufus loves everyone, and he and Sen are on ok terms. Sen swiped him once when he got really sick of a dog nose up his ass. Can't blame him, and no real harm done.
We tried another meeting of the felines later, and this time they were both ready to attack. This is going to take a long time to work, and i'm only here 3 days before abandoning both kitties. I suck. I seriously suck for this. I just hope they both manage to become at least civil towards each other... that can happen with 2 alpha male cats, right? Right? *cricket noises*
I'm going to sleep and cuddle Sen-kitty now.

My apartment is so... naked. There's no furniture left except the entertainment center and bed, and there's nothing on the walls except the Fujiko scroll (it protects me while I sleep...). Team S and I cleaned out just about everything else in 2 trips with my Dad's truck. Tomorrow I should be able to finish everything else and get the place cleaned. MG and I also have plans for lunch and the last post of Serve and Volley. There's still a million things to do (including acclimate Sen-kitty to new home), but overall it was a really good days work. And I only hit myself in the head with the dresser once...
Team S are the best friends girl could have, really. This is probably the fourth time they've helped me move in 5 years, and they still show up. Even if it's 102 degrees (which it was), they still show up. Even if they're the only ones who show up. I'm going to miss them more than most people here. We're gaming later this evening.
But yeah, tomorrow clean and hopefully finish getting the rest of this stuff out of here. Then... well, I'll be living at home, which'll be interesting.
Can I have a TakiEiji to do this for me, please?

Dude... so I'm packing still, right?
I have these little metal tea boxes I've saved because I knew they'd be usefull one day.
I just had to label one of them (Enjin Souls 4-6 + G6)
Wow... but, if I stuff it with paper towels right, it keeps the souls from going off without me removing the batteries... and it only has to hold them till Yuuta gets back and she Enjin-sits for me...
*debates putting the Enjin-tachi back in carryon again+

I spent most of today packing/moving stuff. And the apartment still looks really full. And it's not cool.
Then I went out with MG and team S to go see Mamma Mia. Scratch that, first I went to Taco Bell with Team S and purchased 10 containers of nacho cheese for popcorn consumption during the film. And I bought nachos. God I had so much fake cheese; I will hate myself in a couple hours.
But I actually enjoyed the film. I'm aware that I shouldn't have, and the filmmakers certainly had some transition problems, but overall I thought it was really quite fun. Either that or I'm more wasted than I at first believed. The theater was also filled with some sort of wedding party and/or theater troupe wearing veils to the show. There was a lot of photo snapping so either it was some sort of celebration or just some serious Mamma Mia fans. Team S and I wore our PMS shirts though, so no one really bothered us.
Tomorrow I plan to spend all morning packing, and probably take down the walls which will really hurt. Then gathering around 6. Then Sunday will be the big move. Monday I'll come back to the house to clean/hang out with MG more. By Tuesday I want to be done with this apartment so I can have 3 solid days of finishing paperwork/quality time with the important people here.
Oh, and I finally heard back from the IRS on my tax info which won't be done in time. Stupid US government.
Also, my Darling Violetta CD is beyond repair. I tried to rip it today and the computer freaked out. Sadness.

The title quote is from Lil' C: The most eloquent krumper ever. This man has such intelligence and powers of speech... and he krumps. I've never really respected the style until I heard him critique on SYTYCD tonight. A million points to Lil' C.
Overall today was a really excellent day. I went in for my last day at the BP. I got an Eco-friendly journal from my manager. Then another coworker came in and gifted me a small goody bag of butterfly paraphernalia. It's strange. I've only known her a month and a half, but she's the kind of person who just enjoys giving gifts. I may never see or hear from her again, but she's made that little impact on my life. As I prepare for this big move, I'm realizing how many connections I have here, how many people are or have been important to me however distant our relationship has become. There's a long list of acquaintances I've been contacting to share news, and they will always be a part of my history, if not my future.
Friendship can be so fleeting, but I don't want to take it for granted.
Then I came home and packed 3 boxes. *pump fist* They are all books. *scuffs shoe* My dad's gonna kill me.
Then I went to dinner with another coworker and we gossiped and chatted for a long time. She's exactly the person I want to be in 20 years, and it was really nice to just spend quality, non-work time with her.
Then off to V1's for stupid dancing and some Go-on research. Dance was mostly disappointing tonight, though I believe I've officially decided on Joshua as my hopeful to win. He deserves it. He's adorable and versatile and dorky and dare I say it: Buck. I'm sad that we'll probably lose Mark tomorrow... but it's not his fault he had to wear those rhinestones... poor Mark... so very Brokeback.
Tomorrow's menu is a hell of a lot more packing, take my car in for her check-up, lunch with my teacher bff, and then more stupid dancing. Whew. I didn't used to be so popular.

So I couldn't sleep last night. Just, not tired at all which is strange. So I packed up another box of books and rediscovered my Assassin and White Shaman. Mmm... Weiss, I say. I then proceed to stay up till 12:30 reading volume one and had to make myself not pick up volume two because dude! I have to work in the morning! Why? Because that's the kind of brainspace I was in.
So yeah now I have to go to work with weird Schwarz dreams in my brain... I can't remember anything tangible, just a vague impression that Crawford was involved in some sort of Technocracy type thingy. Sleepy now...

Well, life has been busy busy busy, but I'm finally home at night. I had a relaxing bath. Packed a little bit. And am now working on ripping odds and ends of ye old CD collection to the compy because I never know when I'm going to need a little Simon & Garfunkel. I'm also working on a Hyotei fic (*gasp*). I signed up for Hyotei Exchange ages ago, and finally got an idea after chatting with MG for a while. It may have promise, though it must remain seeeeeeeeeeeeeeeecret and safe.

This weekend was the annual "Insectival" down at the BP. This means a looooooooooooooooooooot of people and a lot of me trying to explain the ticket system to people who are wondering why I won't shut up. I basically spent the whole two days trapped in the admission box while my knees complained that they weren't going to stand on the concrete any more. Yesterday I also went to game (my last proper game night for a long time... *sniff*) and while it was awesome, I didn't get home till 12:30. But Team S gifted me the actual Brass Monkeys from Wonderfalls. THEY LOOK EXACTLY LIKE THE WONDERFALLS BRASS MONKEY! They weigh a ton, but I may need to ship them to Japan anyway. They are that cool... and they match my wax lion. So yeah, between that and the longest game of Encore EVER, it was a Then I got up and worked a full shift today.
I was supposed to go shopping with V1, but I had to stop at the padres' first and pick up tubs and pet my kitty who had been missing for a day and a half. He is filthy, but fine, and I gave him a washcloth bath he did not appreciate. I quickly realized it was A) already 6 by the time I got there and B) My legs weren't working properly. So I canceled on everyone and came home instead.
I packed a box. Now I'm going to have a lie-down, drink tea, and maybe finish Gokusen. Or upload the better of my vacation photos. We'll see...

Today was overall pretty kickass.
Woke up in time to spend a little quality time with the Boppa. Then Cuz and I went to Como Zoo to relive my childhood. I saw emperor tamarins, and snow leopards, and puffins, and A BABY ORANGUTAN! Soooooooooooooooooo disgustingly cute. I have photos for later.
Then we came back, watched more BBT, and I had a little more grandparent time. I wish I had more, but tomorrow I must journey to the other side of the family. *sigh*
Cuz also took me to dinner at a hibachi style restaurant where I ate tasty chicken liver and green tea ice cream. We complained mutually about the craziness of our respective parents, discussed future plans, and quoted BBT for an extraordinary length of time. Quite the blast even if my aunt ditched us for "work." What. Ever.
Right. Should go to bed. I've been soooooooooooooooooo tired this whole trip, but I finally woke up around dinner time and now I'm all groovy... in time for bed. Super.
If I don't have internet at the next locale, I'll catch you all later.

Yesterday, I got to put my power shopping skillz to work and purchased a dress for my cousin a record half an hour before the wedding. But she looked soooooooooooooooooooo CUTE! Yuuta! Meggie's so CUTE! And I'm that good. Then we all went to the wedding which was remarkably short for a Catholic mass. Cousin seemed happy enough and my emotionally-repressed uncle cried. All told, nice and quick.
At the reception, my grandparents started swing-dancing which was one of the most adorable things I've ever seen. Then I attempted to dance with my grandpa to Twist and Shout... which was embarrassing because he's so much better at dancing than I am. Still, that's a memory I'm going to keep with me for the rest of my life. I missed the bouquet thankfully, but the groom's brother's boyfriend caught the garter...
Today's menu is going to lunch with the grandma, and then cuz says she wants to take me to a drag show because she thought I would enjoy that. "Meg, why did you think that?" I say, "Am I radiating something?" "Kinda..." she says. Great. Do I walk around with an "I heart crossplay" sign over my head. So yeah... we may be going to this. We'll see. She's still asleep.
Right. Off to grand adventures.
P.S. I miss sentai a lot right now

Not sure what my internet access will be, but I'm betting slim so don't expect to hear from me for the next 6 days or so. If I'm gone longer than that, assume monkeys were involved.

So yesterday, I went to Elitch's and nearly made myself sick on the Half-Pipe. Then I got my hair cut fabuloused up all short and straight ... well, till I take my shower and it goes back to curls.
Then I watched SYTYCD and came to the conclusion that Mia Michaels is Wong Foo.
Also, Jessica did not offend me for the first time ever. And Will is the kickass. And Mark needs more self-esteem cuz he's good! Really good! If I have my way this week, we'll lose Thayne. Don't know which girl is going, but I hope it's not Comfort cuz Comfort just needs a good partner.
Also Andy Blankenbueller's choreography is boring. I want Tyce back.

Busy busy week. Let's Recap:
Thursday: Watched SYTYCD with V1 and was very pleased with the results. Ha ha skanky Chelsea is gone.
Friday: Went to the HS Music Hall to see "Retro Loud." The Loud series is their best work, just a loosely connected musical review that rocks. Alex Crawford is 60 some years old, and the man can still Hammer Dance better than most 20 year olds could in 1990. And Rory wore a dress twice and had nicer legs than I did which upset me again, but I got over it. This was probably the last show we'll get to see at HS and V1 and I were both somewhat depressed afterwards. The Music Hall is our sad little equivalent to Pnish. We see them usually once a month... what are we going to do now?
Find the real Pnish I guess.
( Today, weirdest coincidence ever )
Now I'm off to game night. Tomorrow is work and Monday I go with another old friend to Elitch's. Suddenly, I'm very popular as I'm about to leave the country.
Everyone have a lovely weekend!
